Our PTA
What is the PTA?
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a nationwide organization dedicated to supporting children, families, and schools. As the oldest and largest child advocacy group in the United States, the PTA works at the local, state, and national levels to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Programs
Skaggs PTA is excited to bring back a variety of fun and enriching afterschool programs. Students can sharpen their minds with Chess, build strength and confidence with Karate, learn a new language through Spanish, enjoy teamwork and skills with Soccer Stars, or expand their creativity and knowledge with Wise Academy. There’s something for everyone, and all programs are hosted right here at Skaggs after-school!
REFLECTIONS 2025-2026: We are now accepting entries! This year’s theme is “I Belong!” Share your creativity through dance, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts. Reflections is a free program open to all students with at least one active Skaggs Elementary PTA member in their household.
ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL: Trunk or Treat: We’re excited to announce our Annual Fall Festival: Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 25th from 3:00–5:00 PM in the Skaggs parking lot. Families are invited to join the fun, walk from trunk to trunk, and collect goodies in a safe and festive environment. Want to be part of the fun? Fundraising plays a vital role in supporting our students, teachers, and school programs. Through your generous contributions, the Skaggs PTA is able to fund educational resources, family events, classroom needs, and teacher appreciation efforts.
We raise funds through spirit nights 
at local restaurants and establishments, donations, sponsorships, community partnerships, and our annual Write-A-Check campaign. Every dollar makes a difference—thank you for helping us build a stronger, more connected Skaggs community!
