VOLUNTEERING AT SKAGGS ELEMENTARY
Thank you for your willingness to volunteer and share your time to support our students, teachers, and school community! Your involvement truly makes a difference.
📝 Important Note:
You do not need to be a PTA member to volunteer at Skaggs—but all volunteers must complete the Plano ISD Volunteer Application each school year. This application is required for participating in school activities like class parties, field trips, and PTA-sponsored events.
🔐 Volunteer Background Check
Volunteer approvals from the 2025–2026 school year remain active through July 31, 2026.

September
Jessica Cagle
A mom of 4 daughters, Jessica volunteers at the library when she has free time. She not only helps our librarian, Mrs. Turner but she also singlehandedly coordinated all the parent volunteers to help our librarian! She loves to read and spend time with her family. We thank her immensely.
October
Ryan Patterson
A new Skaggs family and we couldn't be more grateful! Ryan has helped our Student Safety Patrol with painting stars on the sidewalk to keep our drop off line going smoothly. On top of that Ryan took time out of his busy schedule to repaint som faded four squares in the playground area for our Stars. Skaggs is immensely grateful for his hard work!

November
Patrick Schultz
We are very lucky to have this dad in our Skaggs family. Patrick created our first ever Skaggs Dad Group, under our PTA for the 2025-2026 year! He takes time out of his busy schedule as a father of 2 to coordinate with Skaggs Staff to facilitate the painting of stars, Reading Time with Skaggs Dads come into the library, and heavy lifting around the school. We are one lucky school!

December
Carla Rober
As part of our Board in the PTA as VP of Ways and Means, Carla is everywhere helping when she can. She not only helps plan and execute our events she is there with a smile! She always volunteers to help everyone where she can. Carla also uses her skills to create most of the images and flyers the PTA puts out. During summer break she also took time to re-vamp our website, create all the images on our website and create new logos! We can't thank her enough for all she does for our school.
