What My Culture Means To Me

Participation Info:

Eligibility: Open to all Skaggs Elementary students with at least one active Skaggs PTA member in the household.
Cost: 100% Free to enter.
Due Date: All entries must be submitted online by October 23rd!

Category Rules: Students can submit original artwork in 6 creative categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Please ensure all entries follow Texas PTA and National PTA guidelines for formatting, size, and composition. Visit National PTA's Craft an Entry page for category-specific rule sheets and detailed requirements.

Submission Process: Submissions are accepted digitally! Brainstorm your ideas and submit your final work using the online Student Entry Form button located at the bottom of this page or click HERE

Fall Festival

SKAGGS ELEMENTARY TRUNK OR TREAT & FALL FESTIVAL!

A safe, daylight Fall Festival celebration filled with candy, games, inflatables, and family fun.

Date: Saturday, October 24th
Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Trunk set-up begins at 2:15 PM)

We're 75% To Our Read-A-Thon Goal!

Our students are absolutely crushing their reading goals! Thanks to your amazing support, we have already raised $7,548 of our $10,000 goal!

To keep the momentum rolling and give everyone a chance to earn more prizes, we are extending the Read-A-Thon by one extra week!

How It Works:

Gather Support: Students reach out to relatives, friends, and neighbors for one-time flat donations (e.g., $10, $25, or $50) to sponsor their reading efforts.
75% Goes to Skaggs PTA: Funds directly support field trips, staff appreciation, and classroom parties!

Fundraising

Fundraising plays a vital role in supporting our students, teachers, and school programs. Through your generous contributions, the Skaggs PTA is able to fund educational resources, family events, classroom needs, and teacher appreciation efforts.

We raise funds through spirit nights at local restaurants and establishments, donations, sponsorships, community partnerships, spirit wear, and our annual Virtual Write-A-Check campaign. Every dollar makes a difference—thank you for helping us build a stronger, more connected Skaggs community!
